Day sailing in the Solent

Comfortable boats
All our boats are meticulously maintained and you will love them. Modern, safe, spatious, fast. Ideal for a day out on the water!
Professional skippers
All of our skippers are also accredited RYA instructors at our sailing school, they are exceptionally well qualified and very friendly.
Safety first
Our yachts are equipped with the latest in safety gear and your safety is our prime concern. We will explain everything to you and make sure you are happy.
Beautiful scenery
The Solent (between Isle of Wight and the mainland) is a fantastic place to sail. It’s full of history and hundreds of boats so it’s always a fun place to be!
A great day out on the water for all
You can join in individually, come with friends or family or even buy a gift certificate for someone. Great present!
If this is your first time, you will love it! We have plenty of first-timers, we will take our time to explain everything to you, how things work, safety gear, heads (toilets!), sails and how to move about the boat, so that you are comfortable with the day ahead.
If you have sailed in the past, well, that’s where the knowledge of our instructors kicks in. They sail all the time and they race all over the world (we specialise in yacht racing), so if it’s sail trim you are after or a bit of rope work, happy to help.
We will make sure that your day is what you’ve expected and more!

Your day starts at 10am, where we will introduce ourselves and the crew and all of the participants for the day. We’ll show you around the boat and spend some time on safety related issues, such as life jackets and how to move about the boat, as well as essential mechanisms on the boat, such as winches. This will all take about 40 minutes or so.
We’ll then get on with it, go go go! A beautiful stretch of the Hamble river lays between us and the Solent, so you will enjoy a 20 minute motor down the river, to find your sea legs. We will then hoist the sails and off we go, power of the wind!
Depending on the weather and tides we will either explore the western or eastern Solent, or Southampton water, if the weather is a bit iffy. The beauty of Solent is that you can be as ambitious as you like but always find a good place to sail if the weather Gods decide to misbehave!
You will be served lunch onboard, under sail, a tasty baguette and a warm drink. Mmmmmm, heaven! We will then get on with the rest of your day, returning to Hamble for 16:00.

Individual places
Individual places are priced at £95 per day. This includes all safety gear, wet weather gear hire (if needed) and lunch under sail, onboard.
